OUR PRICES, IN THE OPEN
Everything we charge is based on how much space your junk takes up in the truck — and the prices are the same ones printed on every page of this site:

One of our truck loads is equal to eight pickup truck loads

We price by volume
You control the price — it’s based on how much space your junk takes up in the truck. It starts at a 1/8 load and goes all the way up to a full truckload.
Where we beat them the most: a full truck. The one national company that publishes a complete price table charges $790–$844 for a full load of a comparable junk truck. Ours is $600 — roughly $200 less, in print, before you’ve even called us.
Every size in between is priced off the same published ladder, step by step. Labor and disposal are included. The price we quote you before the job is the price you pay when it’s done.
How the minimum works — in plain words:
The $100–$120 minimum belongs to our core towns, the ones within about 30 minutes of us. In the rest of our local area, our regular published minimums apply. Farther out, in our extended areas, jobs carry a full-load minimum and a fuel fee may apply — and we tell you the full price, every dollar of it, before you book. Nobody at Jus Junk has ever raised a price after arriving at a house. The number we give you is the number.
US vs. THE OTHER GUYS
We read the fine print on ten competitors’ websites — the local haulers around Winchester and Martinsburg and the big national franchises. Here’s what we found, side by side. We don’t name names. We don’t have to.
| Comparison | Jus Junk | Most other guys |
|---|---|---|
| Full price list published online | Yes — the whole ladder, on this site, for anybody to read | Most publish no prices at all. You get a number after they see your junk — or after they’re standing in your driveway |
| ¾-load price, in print | $550 | The one national outfit that publishes a full price table charges $641–$699 for a ¾ load — and $790–$844 for a full load. Ours is $600 |
| Minimum charge, stated upfront | $100–$120 in our core towns — printed right here | Usually revealed inside a quote. One national franchise does publish its minimum: $160, flat — higher than ours, everywhere they serve |
| Distance and travel charges, in writing | Yes — our extended-area terms are printed on this page | Not one of the ten competitors we checked publishes a distance, trip, mileage, or fuel fee. Not a single one |
| How distance actually gets charged | A stated rule you can read before you ever call us | Folded silently into the quote. One local rival’s own FAQ admits their price depends on “volume, materials — and location.” A national chain says its pricing is “based on your location.” You pay for the miles either way; they just don’t itemize them |
| Your full price, before work starts | Quoted in full before you book — and it doesn’t change when we arrive | A free estimate after they see the job. Fair enough — but the number depends on the day, the estimator, and where you live |
| If you’re outside their map | We publish our local towns and our extended towns, and we’ll quote the far jobs honestly | The franchises are gated by territory and ZIP code — outside the map, there’s no offer at any price. One of them even refuses single-item pickups in a town on its own list |
| Per-item fees for TVs and tires | Published — the full list is on this page | Not published. The big franchises quote them on site, after they’ve seen your stuff |
| Extra labor fees (bagging, sorting, stairs) | Published — bagging service $50 per half hour for the crew, stairs $50 per flight, in print on this page | Charged, but not published — they appear inside the quote, if at all |
THE DISTANCE QUESTION, ANSWERED STRAIGHT
Here’s something nobody in this business likes to say out loud: everybody charges for distance. The truck burns fuel, the crew’s hours are spent on the road instead of on the next job, and that cost lands in your price whether it’s printed or not. The only real choice a junk company makes is whether to tell you.
Most don’t. They fold it into a quote you can’t take apart, or they draw a territory line and simply won’t come to your house at all.
We print ours. Inside our local area, distance costs you nothing extra — the published prices are the prices. In our extended areas — the towns roughly 45 minutes and beyond, places like Washington, The Plains, Middleburg, and Woodstock — jobs carry a full-load minimum, and a fuel fee may apply depending on how far we’re traveling. And here is the part that matters: we quote you the full price, including any fuel fee, before you book. If the number doesn’t work for you, don’t book. No hard feelings, and no truck showing up to renegotiate in your driveway.
That’s the deal. Same as it’s always been at Jus Junk — we’d just rather have it in writing.
LABOR FEES, IN THE OPEN
Your price includes our crew loading the truck — up to 1 hour of loading for items that are ready to go — couches, beds, dressers, normal items that need no extra labor. Most ready-to-go jobs finish inside the hour. If loading ready items runs past the hour, extra loading time is $50 per half hour for the crew, quoted before we continue.
If loose items need bagging up before they can be carried out, that’s our bagging service — $50 per half hour for the crew, starting when the bagging starts. We bring the bags and do the bagging, and the bags are part of the service — there is never a separate charge for bags. Bag and stage items yourself before we arrive and you never pay this at all.
Sorting and packing — estates, whole-house cleanouts, cabinets to empty — is the same prep labor at $50 per half hour for the crew, quoted in full before work starts.
Stairs: $50 per flight, and every flight counts — so three flights adds $150 — always in your quote before we begin.
Heavy loads: a full truckload of construction debris — lumber, drywall (sheetrock), rock, and concrete — costs more to dump because the landfill charges by weight, so those loads carry a weight surcharge of $50 to $200 per truckload.
The other guys charge for this too — they just don’t print it. We print it.
ITEM FEES, IN THE OPEN
Some items cost extra to dispose of because the landfill and recyclers charge us by the item. We print those fees too.

STRAIGHT ANSWERS
Do you charge extra for distance?
Inside our local area, no — the published prices are the whole price. In our extended areas, about 45 minutes out and beyond, jobs carry a full-load minimum and a fuel fee may apply. Either way, your full price — every dollar — is quoted before you book, and it never changes when we arrive.
What is your minimum charge?
$100 to $120 in our core local towns, close to our Summit Point and Winchester bases. In the rest of our local area our regular published minimums apply, and extended-area jobs start at a full load ($600).
How much does a load cost?
An ⅛ load is $200, a ¾ load is $550, and a full load is $600, with every size in between priced off the same published ladder. Labor and disposal are included in those prices. You can send us a photo of your junk by text and we’ll tell you which size you’re looking at before we ever roll.
Will the price change when you get here?
No. The price we quote before the job is the price you pay when it’s done — that’s the whole point of publishing our prices. If you’ve got more junk than the photo showed, we’ll tell you before we load the first extra item, and you decide.
What areas do you serve?
Our local towns include Winchester, Stephens City, Berryville, and Purcellville in Virginia; Charles Town, Harpers Ferry, Martinsburg, Shepherdstown, and Summit Point in West Virginia; and Brunswick in Maryland — plus the communities around them. Our extended areas reach the towns about 45 minutes and beyond, including Washington, The Plains, Middleburg, Front Royal, and Woodstock, under the extended terms on this page. If you don’t see your town, call or text — the honest answer is free.
Do you offer same-day service?
Yes — same-day service is available, and we’re open 24 hours. Call or text 540-587-5865; if we’ve got the room in the day, we’ll be there.
